Meet Anja!

Hello, I’m Anja Carlson and I’m a WordPress Consultant, Designer, and Front-End Developer.

I strive to use best practices specific to WordPress and deliver websites to my customers that suit their particular needs.

With a mind toward the journey of your visitors and the goal of your website, be it: to get them to call, sign up for your email marketing list, or whatever it may be, I’ll guide you to arrive at just what it takes to get them to act before they leave.

Day of Joy

I am the Director of the non-profit organization, Day of Joy, Inc. In the spring of 2019 we had some difficulty with a web designer and were unable to utilize our web page.

Unfortunately, this happened just a few days before a major event we were holding.

Anja Carlson came to our rescue!

Ms Carlson quickly took control of the situation and fixed every link that wasn’t working and got our ticket sales up and running. She really saved the day for us!

The Fort Myers Barbershop Chapter hired Anja to redesign the chapter newsletter. She quickly understood what was required and translated barbershop themes into key components that were instrumental in the successful implementation of a quality product. In the WP Community

WordPress Meetup SWFL Co-organizer

I have been a Co-Organizer of our local Meetup Since July 2016, along with our long time Co-Organizer, and my friend, Birgit Pauli-Hack.

Anne, Birgit, Anja, and Guy on our first organizing meeting since we became a quartet of organizers.

We hold some awesome presentations on the entire gamut of topics pertaining to WordPress both for developers and end users. This year we welcomed two new Co-Organizers; Anne Katzeff, and Guy Cicinelli.

I host a bi-weekly Meetup called Coffee Klatch where I teach other business owners, developers, and WordPress users alike. We have great discussions and everyone learns a lot.

We met Matt Mullenweg!

In 2018 Birgit and I and another fellow organizer went to St. Petersburg FL to attend a Meetup featuring Matt Mullenweg, the Founding Developer of WordPress and the company behind it, Automatic.

Celebrated 15 years of WordPress

Anja and WordPress Meetup Southwest Florida celebrating 15 years of WordPress.

I organized a celebration at Fort Myers Beach for any member that wished to attend. Chris Wiegman, Anja Carlson, Birgit Pauli-Hack, Dan Flavin. Rosalind, Joy Weigman were all in attendance.

I attend this group’s meetings from time to time as well. They too have interesting presentations and help sessions for coders. We have a great community of developers in in Southwest Florida.
